Nokian aikakausi
Nokian historia alkoi vuonna 1865.Vuonna 1865 kaivosinsinööriFredichIperustipuusellutehtaan saapuessaan Tampereelle,Suomeen.Tehdas sijaitsi valtakunnallisessamaanristeyksessä. Puumassan ja kartongin valmistus.

Televiestintäala
1962-1970-luvun puoliväliin Nokian osuus Suomen televiestintämarkkinoista jatkoi kasvuaan.
Vuonna 1982 Nokia (silloin Mobira) tuotti ensimmäisen pohjoismaisen matkapuhelinverkon Senatorin. Myöhemmin Talkman kehitettiin. 1980-luvun puolivälissä Nokia-matkapuhelimet tulivat Yhdysvaltain markkinoille TandyRadioCabinstoren kautta. Tandy, yritys ja Tandy perustivat yhteistuotantotehtaan Koreaan vuonna 1985.

MobilePhoneEra

Microsoftin hankinta

At8pmonNovember19,2013,Nokiawillholdageneralmeetingofshareholders.Despitethedissatisfactionofasmallgroupofshareholders,themediasaidthatifthereisnoaccident,thegeneralmeetingwillapproveNokiatotransferitsmobilephonebusinesstoMicrosoft.
OnApril25,2014,MicrosoftannouncedthatithadcompletedtheacquisitionofNokia'sequipmentandservicesdivision.TheacquisitionhasbeenapprovedbyNokiashareholdersandregulatoryagenciesinvariouscountriesandregions.
OnMay6,2014,NokiaannouncedthatitwouldinvestUS$100million(approximatelyRMB616million)tosetupanewfundtoinvestincompaniesdevelopingsmartcartechnologytosupportNokia’sdigitalmapBusinessdevelopment.ThenewfundwillbemanagedbyNokiaGrowthPartners,Nokia'sventurecapitalbusinessunit.
18.7.2014 Microsoft ilmoitti irtisanovansa 18 000 työntekijää ensi vuonna, joista noin 12 500 tulee Nokia-osastolta.
15. huhtikuuta 2015 Nokia osti Alcatel-Lucentin 15,6 miljardilla eurolla.

Suomen valtion investointirahasto Solidium osti 13. maaliskuuta 2018 3,3 % Nokian osakkeista 844 miljoonalla eurolla (noin 1,045 miljardia dollaria).
