CnSCA: ChinaNon-stickCoatingAssoctiation
Since its inception, non-stick coatings have immediately swept the market with their excellent anti-corrosion properties and non-stick properties, and are widely used in kitchenware manufacturing, machinery industry, and even Medical equipment and other fields. When it comes to non-stick coatings, the most popular application is non-stick pans. In Western developed countries, non-stick pans have long been widely used. And its popularity in my country started in the 1990s. At that time, non-stick pans were favored by many consumers for their unique properties. The production history of non-stick pans in my country can be traced back to the end of the 1970s. At that time, the Ministry of Light Industry organized a technical symposium on internal coating and external enamel aluminum products attended by aluminum product manufacturers, scientific research units, and foreign experts. After the meeting, the topic of developing non-stick pans was put forward. As a result, more than 10 domestic aluminum product manufacturers began the research and development of non-stick pans. In 1981, Guizhou Fenglei Ordnance Factory produced my country's first non-stick pan product. In the following years, Shenyang Aluminum Products Factory, Guangdong Nanfang Hardware Factory, Shanghai Aluminum Products Factory, and Foshan's production enterprises successively introduced internal coating and external enamel aluminum production lines from abroad, and successively produced qualified products. Of course, the process used at that time was very different from the current non-stick coating technology.
Although products produced with non-stick coatings have superior characteristics, most non-stick coatings contain harmful ingredients-fluorine. In the middle of the 21st century, a discussion about whether non-stick pans are carcinogenic was launched in countries around the world.
Technology is constantly evolving. In 2009, DuPont launched a new generation of safer Teflon coating without PFOA-DuPontTeflon at the Spring International Consumer Goods Fair in Frankfurt, Germany. This kind of coating ensures that the scratch resistance of the coating is 50% higher than that of the previous generation Teflon Platinu without PFOA. The safety performance of non-stick coatings is further improved. Nowadays, non-stick coating products are very common in the Chinese manufacturing market and mass consumer market. Many manufacturers and consumers are attracted by it. For a time, many excellent non-stick coating manufacturers, either foreign-funded joint ventures or state-owned and privately owned, have emerged in China. GMM (Hao Star International), Dayong Paint, Lantian Environmental Protection, etc. have shown strong momentum.
Ceramic coating is a product with similar characteristics to non-stick coatings. It entered the domestic market slightly later than non-stick coatings. It began to be applied to cookware in 2006, but due to its safety advantages, it has developed rapidly. In 2010, Frankfurt, Germany exhibited many ceramic coatings. Although its wear resistance is not as good as some non-stick coatings, it is still favored by many people in the industry. Dr. Li Lifeng, Technical Director of Shanghai Cilong Chemical Co., Ltd. said: "The great thing about ceramic materials is that the raw materials are taken from natural sources, and they can eventually be restored to nature without any treatment." Some people even expressed the view that "ceramic coatings will replace non-stick coatings in some areas (especially kitchenware)." Although this point of view has yet to be proven over time, the trend of the tiger downhill for ceramic coatings has already appeared.
Regardless of the future, there is no doubt that non-stick coatings and ceramic coatings are constantly inextricably linked. However, the relatively disorderly competition in emerging industries has also brought adverse effects to the industry. Price wars, digging walls, infringement of intellectual property rights, damage to the environment, and illegal production are not uncommon. The industry needs to unite. Discuss together to make suggestions for the sound development of the industry; act in unison, set an example, and abandon unhealthy enterprises. Only when the industry is booming can the enterprises in it continue to obtain the greatest benefits. This is also the intention of the 2010 HC Surface Treatment Network non-stick coatings and ceramic coatings industry alliance project.
