Organization Description
Universitas 21 is an international university consisting of several excellent research universities in the world. This consortium has no Chinese translation, which is referred to as U21 is referred to as Universitas 21. The establishment of this university is to further improve the education, scientific research and academic level of these schools; strengthen international exchange skills in members' universities; and establish international common standards and international consensus among memberships.
Universitas 21 was established in 1997, initially consisting of 17 members in 10 different countries, including about 500,000 students, 40,000 researchers and approximately about 500,000 students. 2 million graduates.
2001, UNIVERSITAS 21 cooperated with Thomson Learning, an online university called Universitas 21 Global, which is headquartered in Singapore.
2004, Germany's Freiburg University suspended their qualifications in UNIVERSITAS 21.
2005, Korea's Daeili University joined this university organization. Shanghai Jiaotong University has also joined UNIVERSITAS 21. This makes universities in the Universitas 21 to 18.
