Personal Profile

1980 German physicist Claus von Clean found quantum Hall effect in the experiment, that is, the Hall resistance varies with magnetic induction strength. Linear but stepped, the resistance value of the step is independent of the properties of the material, but from a constant H / E2 divided by different integers, he has also obtained the 1985 Nobel Physics Award. Two years later, Stimmer, Cui Qi and his colleagues were meticulous to Hall effects in experiments, and found a number of quantum Hall effects. They found a new level that made them very surprised in Hall resistors, which can be expressed as H / E2 divided by different scores.

The number of quantum Hall effects found a year, Lauklin put forward theoretical explanation. He pointed out that in the case of quantum Hall effect, the electronic system agglomerated into a new type of quantum fluid. Moreover, he also proposes a wave function of a multi-electronic system to describe the acoustic state of electron interacting quantum fluid.

The number of quantum Hall effect itself is an indirect inspection of the new quantum fluid theory. Later, several research teams successfully observed this new particle.
