OSA certification introduction

Chinese super-hard tools need to pass three barriers to go abroad. Chinese super-hard tools industry enterprises need to solve three problems if they want to enter the international market:

One is market channel construction; the second is to break through technical barriers; the third is trade barriers.

Many industry colleagues said that the current trade barriers are mainly anti-dumping. In the process of anti-dumping, the industry should not count on the government. The government cannot play a role. The key is that the industry and industry associations should play a role and unite. Regarding the unsuccessful anti-dumping case of diamond tools in 2006, it has not actually ended, but the first battle was won. The U.S. prosecutor is still in a lawsuit with the U.S. International Trade Commission. If the International Trade Commission loses the lawsuit, then anti-dumping will still be established, but this possibility is already relatively small. In addition, in terms of technical barriers, in the international arena, most of our past companies have been certified at various levels. First of all, the earliest DSA and MPA, and now the new OSA. When the United States was anti-dumping, the EU anti-dumping application has been sent to the European Commission. Now that the EU has decided not to anti-dump Chinese companies, they may turn to another aspect and set up certain technical barriers, such as European certification. Certain certifications will have very high thresholds for Chinese companies in the next step, and the costs will also be very high. For example, OSA certification already has this sign. Chinese companies should start early in this aspect of technology certification in the future. OSA certification has been done by major Korean companies three or four years ago. However, there are still relatively few manufacturers in China that have passed it, and it is increasingly difficult to obtain this certification in the next step. Perhaps the next step is to pass certification and labeling as a more effective barrier for products. Certification may cost a lot of money, but you must be willing to spend money and do it in advance. OSA is the abbreviation of Quality and Safety Alliance, OSA is the abrasive material safety organization, and OSA accreditation proves that the products of high-end abrasive producers are highly safe. The only purpose is to ensure that the product meets the interests of users. Since there are no mandatory safety requirements for abrasive products around the world, users are worried about using abrasive products in many fields.

In order to obtain the much-needed transparency in the international market, 17 European Abrasives Industry companies established the OSA organization in March 2000. There are now 44 members. Members are open to all companies (companies that produce and sell abrasive products, such as corundum, silicon carbide, ceramic corundum, zirconium corundum, diamond and cubic boron nitride):

- its abrasive products meet or exceed CEN Standard safety requirements;

- Through the prescribed test process and conditions to ensure that the standard is maintained;

- And accept the inspection specified by OSA.

Members have the right to use the OSA logo if these requirements are met.

OSA certification steps

1. Fill in the application form and sign the OSA trademark use and legal conditions.

2. OSA selects test samples and tests them according to the corresponding EN standards. (OSA requires applicants to have necessary internal testing equipment)

3. Factory audit. The factory will be audited by OSA representatives and an independent technical inspector. The purpose of the inspection is to see if the factory has the necessary conditions and equipment to perform internal testing and maintain stringent quality requirements.

4. Allow to become an OSA member. If the test and factory audit are passed, the applicant's information will be submitted to the board of directors.

Once approved, the applicant will receive a membership certificate. OSA certification is based on the following three standards: EN12413, EN13743, EN13236 Introduction to MPA certification MPA certification: German accident prevention regulations UVVVBG49 stipulates the safety requirements for abrasives. When companies operate or use abrasives in Germany, the products must meet the above regulations. Products that meet this requirement can obtain a DSA number in the past. Due to internal adjustments in Germany, the German National Material Inspection Agency (MPA) is now responsible for the certification work. Authoritative certification: all kinds of rotating tools, brushes and cutting tools exported to Europe must hold an MPA safety certificate (instead of a DSA certificate). The MPA certificate issued by the German MPA laboratory is absolutely authoritative. Every MPA certificate has an anti-counterfeiting mark and can be queried on related websites, strictly preventing counterfeiting and protecting your legitimate rights and interests to the greatest extent. Inspection standard resin grinding wheel: ZH1/670, ZH1/671; Diamond saw blade: ZH1/675, ZH1/676 Main tests: impact test, centrifugal force test, eccentric load test and other enterprise application matters: provide product technical parameters; fill in Service application forms and signing contracts; companies provide documents such as copies of business licenses and registered trademarks; cooperate with the provision of test samples and assist in factory inspections.
