Product introduction
Optical power meter refers to an instrument used to measure absolute optical power or relative loss of optical power through a section of optical fiber. In fiber optic systems, measuring optical power is the most basic, much like a multimeter in electronics; conventional optical power meters generally measure in the range of 780-1650nm.
In the FTTX/PON network, it is generally required to measure three wavelengths in the fiber at the same time, the 1490nm and 1550nm downstream wavelengths, and the 1310nm upstream wavelength. Then the professional PON optical power meter came into being.
The handheld PON optical power meter is a test instrument specially launched for FTTX/PON passive optical network testing. It uses a high-definition TFT color LCD screen and can be used to test voice, Synchronous measurement and display of data and video signals.
Power threshold can be set to provide pass, warning or fail status indication for each wavelength. It is an ideal choice for PON network engineering, construction and maintenance.
